Program Policies
Participant Responsibilities
Please respect all staff, other participants, equipment and facilities. Follow specific program rules and guidelines.
Classes and activities are available to program participants only. Unless babysitting services are provided, children and siblings should not accompany program participants. In the event that an instructor allows you (as an adult) to bring your child to a program with you, your child must stay with you. Should any child be found wandering through the schools - the parent and child will be asked to leave.
The Freetown - Lakeville Community Recreation Department reserves the right to dismiss or suspend a participant in any program without refund of fees.
Registration
All participants must pre-register for programs. The Community Rec. office is located behind Apponequet High School and is clearly marked. Office hours are: Monday - Friday / 8:30am - 12:30pm and an after hours drop-box is available.
Payment is due at the time of registration. We can not accept cash. Participants are registered for a program when the registration fee is received. No course confirmation is sent out. Participants will only be notified in the event of a change. A $ 15.00 fee will be charged for checks returned due to insufficient funds.
All program fees will include a $10.00 non-refundable registration fee. All requests for program withdrawals must be submitted at least one week before the class begins. All subsequent requests for withdrawal will be reviewed on a case by case basis and only a program credit will be issued.
Non-residents may enroll for programs that advertise a non-resident fee. Certain programs may have specific resident / non-resident registration periods.
Program Cancellations & Changes
When school is cancelled due to inclement weather, all Community Rec. programs are cancelled for the entire day. Call the Comm. Rec. office if you have any question regarding class status.
All programs will be held contingent upon a minimum enrollment. The Community Recreation Department reserves the right to cancel or consolidate any programs due to a lack of program enrollment one week before the program begins.
General
The Community Recreation Department is not responsible for any personal property which is lost or stolen.
At times, the Community Rec. staff or members of the media may take pictures and/or videos to publicize department programs. If you do not want yourself or a member of your family to be photographed please let us know
